Not everybody can relate to the cartoon but we sure can in our household. For nearly twenty years every radio in the Timm household and automobile was tuned to 1320 AM radio (KHRT aka K-Heart) but our broadcast listening world was turned upside down when the station went off the air permanently.
When I read the first two panels of the cartoon I was thinking about the computer I replaced at home this weekend. I had been using an older HP for several years but it just became to slow. It took two days just to remove the old HP and then deal with the dust where it sat all those years. I replaced it with a much newer Dell all-in-one with a beautiful touch screen that, coincidently, belonged to my friend who owned KHRT radio (he was always giving me machines that he replaced in the radio studio).
A new home is always a big adjustment. First home, upsizing, downsizing, or moving into retirement living. They are all BIG adjustments, especially if you are moving to a new community.
If you are moving to Minot North Dakota I recommend you use an agent who has lived here several years and can guide you through the community. I also recommend you join a subcommunity like a church as soon as possible. Don't let yourself get lonely, surround yourself with like minded people, it will make your transition go much smoother.
