Gaithersburg Spring Loose Leaf Collection

Spring loose leaf collection for single-family and townhouse owners in the City runs through April 11, weather permitting. Place leaves at the street curb by 7 a.m. on your regular recycling day. Before you begin cleaning up your yard, please consider leaving the leaves until after temperatures are constantly above 50 degrees. Many butterflies, bees and other beneficial pollinators are currently overwintering in the dead leaves and hollowed-out stems of last year’s plants.

This is a City of Gaithersburg, Maryland announcement.

Thursday is the regular recycling day in Kentlands, our home neighborhood.

Hello Roy, I wish we had that in our city but do not, so rake them up and bag them up for me.

Time to get rid of those old Fall leaves. Thank you for sharing the information. Wishing you continued success. Have a wonderful day and sell a house. Bill

Hi Roy... great service by the City of Gaithersburg. Also, great advice to wait until temperatures are consistently above 50 degrees.

I used to just allow my leaves to be and become part of the earth, but I think my landscaper now disposes of them, haha.
