Weather the STORM!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with ADT-Millennium Alarms Systems

Hello AR community!

I know we all have been hit very hard by this market change and that most of the people in this industry have had hardships. It is important to stay focused and weather the storm. I myself have been hit pretty hard to the point that I was trying to find out where my next check or borrowed money was going to come from. What is most important to know in this market is that to find a nitch and stay on the path. Most people might think that because I am in the REO business that I am doing great! Well that is true to a certain extent, I am doing great as far as escrows right now, however I still got alot of debt to pay.

The main thing I would just like to speak out is that if we can weather this storm, anything else will pale in comparison. My mentallity is that I have a saying" I can take on anything, I can accomplish anything, I have weathered the strongest of storms and still came out a WINNER, because I am a WINNER and WINNING is what I do!"

Hopefully this will help in one way or another those out there that are struggling!

Have a blessed day!

Pedro

Good advice Pedro. I did a similar post yesterday about persevering when things are tight. Periods like this happen sometimes, it is just part of the natural cycle, and we have to weather it. When things come back usually they are stronger than ever.

Good attitude, Pedro!  I acquired a similar mindset when I survived the recession of the early 1980s, during which business slowed to a trickle at the same time mortgage rates soared to 18%!  Although not without acquiring some scars, I felt as though if I could get through those days, nothing else was ever going to rattle me.

Best of luck with your career.

Go Pedro! With your attitude you can't help but win! I'm pretty new to the business myself, getting started in what everyone says is one of the most challenging RE cycles they've experienced. Like you I feel that if I can be successful in this environment, I should have a long and rewarding career ahead of me. Thanks for your message of hope and determination!

My wife and I were discussing this earlier today. If we can survive this making a profit we hope to survive anything!
