Strathmore Gate East is a 55 and over community in Coram Long Island.

Opened in the 1970s, Strathmore Gate East can be reached off Middle Country Road to Old Town Road. Since this is an established community, units may need some updating.

 

Street names in the neighborhood are Freedom Lane, Forge Lane, Freemont Lane, Flair Way, and Flair Circle. This is a pet-friendly neighborhood.

These are all attached ranch-style floor plans, with 1 or 2 bedrooms. There is central air conditioning, clean and efficient electric heat and cooking, and individual thermostats in every room. Some residences have an attached garage, and some do not.

The roofs and siding are the responsibility of the individual owner. The homeowner's association is responsible for maintaining the lawns and the facilities. Good morning, Sheila and Larry. Interesting to me that roof and siding are the owner's responsibility in a condo community. We have that in townhomes, but in condos it's typically covered by the HOA fees.

Strathmore Gate East has always been one of my favorite communities that you blog about.  Although I have never seen it in person, your posts highlight it nicely, and I like the look of it from the photos you have shared!

I was thinking the same thing that Nina Hollander, Broker mentioned. Agents in your area really need to make sure they understand there is a difference in coverage in your communities so they are relaying the right information to their buyers. VERIFY!!!
