deleting Blogs

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX EDGE

This is just a question,

when I post something that gets no reply and no comments, is it correct to delete it after a certain period of time, or do I keep all blogs for someone to comment on in the future. I am feeling that i want to post something of interest or it is just taking up space or gaining points..

I really depends?

Is it a blog to the active rain community or is it to the general public. Active Rain posts I can see deleting it after a certain amount of time.

As for the general public posts. I say keep it up as long as it applies. I've had up posts on other blogs for 2 years, that had 2 people view it and the 3rd became a client. The reason was is the information wasn't what others were looking for, but these 3 people were wanting that information at that time and they were able to find it. Had I deleted it, They never would have found me.

If it's not hurting anything, leave it up.  You never know who will stumble upon it.  It also is valuable for the links to other pages.

Kristie, I'd just leave it because I've had blogs that received comments after three months of no comments.  What bothers me now, is that there are so many blogging at any one time, that your blogs that you take so much time and effort to write get no response or comments, depending on the time of day you post!!!

Personally I am a newbie and as I am reading peoples profiles, I am also going through their blogs...I am enjoying their perspective.  I say it is a part of you, keep it there.  Just my opinoin.

With 20000 bloggers, it is tough to read them all.  I think you have some wonderful things to say.

Leave it up if it is currently valid.

You never know who will find it.

The space it takes somewhere is not an issue.

Unless it's a listing that's sold, I'd leave it up.  I've had comments of posts from months ago (even I'd forgot what I wrote).  leave them up.

There are so many blogs and people may only read the ones they subscribe to so good blogs go unread. People who comment for points may not comment after they have made 10 comments.
