Denver Botanic Gardens free days
Free Days at the Denver Botanic Gardens, funded by SCFD, occur at multiple locations throughout the year.
Visitors must register for tickets online for the York Street and Chatfield Farms locations. Tickets are expected to run out, according to the website, and will be available three months at a time on a rolling basis.

There are four SCFD free days at the Clyfford Still Museum in 2025:

- Sunday, July 27 – Disability Pride (Americans with Disabilities Act) Celebration Program
- Saturday, Nov. 8 – Night at the Museums (free 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.)
The museum encourages visitors who want to take advantage of the free days to reserve tickets online in advance. Registration will open one week before each free day.
There are also 12 Pay-What-You-Wish Days when visitors can be admitted to the museum for as little as one penny. These days are part of an initiative to increase community access at the museum, according to the website.

Tickets can be reserved online and the buyer can choose their desired donation amount. Additional donations help fund future Pay-What-You-Wish days, according to the website. Those who wish to pay less than $1 can do so in person at the museum without registering in advance.
Museum of Contemporary Art Denver
MCA Denver is always free for those 18 years old and younger. General admission for adults is $14, but the museum offers discounts ranging from basically free to $5.
On the first Saturday of each month, Coloradans can visit MCA Denver for just a penny. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after 5 p.m., general admission is $5. For less than half the normal price, visitors have two hours to explore the museum before it closes at 7 p.m.
Colorado Railroad Museum
The Colorado Railroad Museum offers several days of free admission and discounted train rides throughout the year.

The free days at the Colorado Railroad Museum do not include the train ride that is normally included with general admission. Instead, visitors get in free and have the option to add the train ride for $4. Visitors can make a reservation online.
Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum
Admission will be free for everyone at the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver, thanks in part to SCFD, on four days in 2025:

Carousel of Happiness in Nederland
The Carousel of Happiness in Nederland typically costs $3 to ride but will be free to ride for three days this year:

Museo de las Americas
General admission to the Museo de las Americas is normally free for kids 13 years old and younger, $8 for adults and $5 for students, seniors, artists, teachers and military.
However, on the first Friday of every month, the museum offers free admission to all from noon to 9 p.m. No tickets are necessary for the event.
Buffalo Bill Museum free days
The public is invited to visit the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave for free on the first Wednesday of each month from November to April. Free dates for 2025 include:

- Entry will be free at all National Park Service sites across the country for six days in 2025:

This goes for all of the National Parks in Colorado, monuments, recreation areas, historic sites and any NPS site that charges an entry fee. While entry is free on these days, the NPS said other fees for things like timed entry or reservation fees may apply.
Colorado State Parks
Every year on the first Monday of August, better known locally as Colorado Day, people and organizations across the Centennial State celebrate the anniversary of Colorado joining the United States.
Colorado Day, which falls on Aug. 4 this year, is honored with many events, festivities and discounts across the state as well as free admission at all Colorado State Parks.
