We are shaped by people and experiences throughout our lives. In the March ActiveRain challenge hosted by Lew Corcoran and Patricia Faeger, we are asked to share the profound impact someone had on you in shaping you into who you are today.
I am the way I am largely due to how My Parents Shaped Who I Am Today, they set a strong foundation.
I am not only shaped by the powerful foundation and strength my parents built but by the loving support from my son during the "Dark Night of the Soul" experience with stage 3 breast cancer", I am also shaped by people I trusted who did me wrong.
My third post in this series I Know Where the Bodies Are Buried generally discusses the positive impact when people do me wrong.
My fourth post in this series is about Angels in the Infield.
ActiveRain Angels in the Infield
Never would I have ever believed joining ActiveRain would have the impact it has had in my life and my real estate business.
Never would I have ever believed that by joining ActiveRain I would learn so much from so many Angels in the Infield about blogging. These angels give freely of their time, knowledge, and expertise all in the name of, we want to help you win and succeed.
I joined ActiveRain on May 26, 2008. Most of us at that time were clueless about blogging. There was so much to learn yet the teaching never stopped. We have all heard the expression "drinking from a firehose" - right?
I wondered, how will I ever learn it all and will I get it right?

ActiveRain Angels in the Outfield
A lot has changed in the world and the land of the World Wide Web.
My time and experiences here have not been all business. It's been a lot of fun too.
I will never forget the days of:
- RainCamps
- Meetups
- Hijacking posts
- When the Gingerbread Men were lost in the mail.
One thing that has not changed is the amazing people, past and present, in the ActiveRain Community. I've made so many friends through this community, some local, and some far, far, away, and some who are no longer with us.
Rest in Peace, Angel Lottie 💗
To my friends and supporters, you know who you are.
THANK YOU!
It's been an incredible 17 years and counting.
