Take a raw egg and it can become many things.
While I can eat a hard boiled egg with some ground black pepper, it's more sustenance than enjoyable.
Take that same egg and scramble or fry it, the ingredients are the same, but the taste is better.
Take a hard boiled egg, pull out the yolk, add a few other ingredients and you've got a deviled egg, which for me is on a whole other level of tasty :)
And take that same egg and head to omelet town and there's an endless supply of possibility!
All these dishes started with the same base egg, but how tasty they are can be vastly different.
In our trade, we've got to be able to market: ourselves, our listings, our communities.
We all start with the same base: words.
It's how we use those words that make all the difference.
A post about a new listing can be bland or tasty.
The plain "this 3 bedroom 2 bath home in X subdivision".
Or the story version "Grab your favorite beverage, ease into your favorite Adirondack chair and watch the sun set over the valley every evening if you make this home yours!"
A subdivision post can be just factual: Builder, sizes, costs, style of build, etc.
Or you can sprinkle in some flavor: what's special about this community? What's nearby? Did you know the area's best Italian sub is just down the street at Tony's? Oh, and did you know you can watch the evening fireworks show from the amusement park? Add some pictures and you've got the omelet ready to plate :)
It's our choice how to use our eggs, bland or tasty?
