Friday Fun…They DO Say the Darndest Things!

Hello Kathy - the name Art Linkletter is a blast from the past.  It's a good reminder.   Unexpected.  Spontaneous but they do seem planned at times because they are often on target.  Many sorts of hilarity can soon follow.    Yes, kids can say the darndest things, but nothing is immediately coming to mind.

I agree..kids say the darndest things and you have to love them. Last year I went over to son's house as they were going out to dinner and I was going to hang with Hudson and Beckett. When her mom walked out Beckett said : Mom "No wrong shoes with that outfit!" She ran and got her the shoes she thought she should wear. I have to admit she was right!!LOL!!

Kathy, Kids really do say the darndest things, and it’s always a reminder to find joy in the unexpected moments.

There is a great video on Youtube where a young girl is complaining about the price the ice cream truck is charging for ice cream cones. She curses a bit too which is all the funnier as she is so young. Here is the link:

Kathy my granddaughter seems to says something every week when we FaceTime, that leaves me and my wife shaking our heads and laughing.

Hello Kathy, I seen to remember that show from way back.  Do not remember my parents watching it to much.

I here the Astros will have an opening at first base in two years. Tell him to go for it...lol

One of my grands is student teaching Kindergartners and she tells us some of the funnest things that those kids say.  Out of the mouth of babes.  Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Art Linkletter's show was great. I especially liked it when he'd ask the kids if the parents told them NOT to tell something and they would always say what the parents told them not to. 😂

Your take on the hilarious things kids say is pure gold, Kathy Streib! Raffe sounds like a real character, and I can’t help but chuckle at his innocent antics. Thanks for sharing these delightful moments—they're a wonderful reminder of how joyfully unpredictable kids can be!

There must be a universal attraction to garbage collector's by little boys, Kathy. Little Kodah has to watch truck pull up, dump the garbage and take off and if he can wave, that makes his little day!

Wishing Raffe a stellar career as a first baseman, sounds like he's committed and wants to be challenged to be better!

Kids are so precious!  Raffe needs the high heat coming his way, he is a go big or go home type of guy, haha.

That Art Linkletter show was hilarious but oh so true. I'm sure we heard all kinds of things from our kids and now the grandkids, but I sure can't think of anything in particular when put on the spot. If I do I will add the comment.

I remember and loved that show. Having had three kids and now six grands I can confirm they really do say the darndest things. LOL

The favorite part of Facebook for me is the daily "memories" I get,  especially when it is something from years ago I shared saying something that one of the grands did or said.

A friend of mine was having dinner with her daughter and 8 year-old granddaughter Kate.

Kate left all the stub ends of her chicken nuggets on her plate. Her mom said, "Kate don't do that-- its wasteful" Kate looked at her and said "What's wasteful for me is an opportunity for you"   I guess that is one way to look at it!

This is so true! I love it when the grands say things that just crack everyone up!
