Do you provide a copy of the MLS listing when you show homes to your buyers? I was having this discussion with another REALTOR the other day, and they said they never print off these sheets.
So, just so I know if I am totally wasting paper, I asked two of my current buyers if they appreciate those pages or if I should stop printing them. My first couple is in their early 40's and the other in their mid 20s, and BOTH families said they do keep them and make notes to keep track of the features they liked (or disliked).
I know I would really prefer to use less paper (and print cartridges) and can go through a ream of paper in a week, but want to provide the right stuff for my clients, whether they are the seller or the buyer.
My listing presentations were always paper, and then the whole "let's be green" was popular, so I made a PowerPoint presentation and emailed the seller prior to arrival. She asked me if that computer was going to sell her home. (BTW, I lost that listing....) Now, this was 5 years ago, but have tried this again, and was not received well. I want my clients to know I am a bit techie, but the bottom line is I want them to feel comfortable with me and my services and have gone back to my paper presentation. Even doing a presentation to the out-of-state seller, I sent her .pdf pages for us to go over. I know a few agents that their entire listing presentation is completely digital.
Bottom line --- I will continue to buy reams of paper if it makes my clients comfortable with my services!
P.S. that IS NOT my desk, and would NEVER look like that, or I wouldn't be able to work! 😋 The chair does, though!
