CT is Again the Center of the College Basketball Universe
March Madness ends tonight and for many the tears are over or will be tonight.
For the Women's side, the finals were Sunday afternoon, and the UConn women won their first Championship in 9 years but an unprecedented 12th Championship. This set the standard for Storrs CT being the basketball center of the college universe.
Overall, between the women and the men, UConn has raised that banner 18 times.
The men's standard was set by the John Wooden lead UCLA bruins with 11 Titles, next would-be Kentucky with 8, and then UConn comes in with a tie for 3rd with North Carolina with 6.
Had Duke prevailed in the Final 4, they could have potentially joined the tie as they have 5 titles.
Behind the UConn women would be Tennessee with 8
follow by 3 tied with 3: Baylor, Stanford and South Carolina, whom UConn defeated.
Success at anything is never guaranteed. It only comes with hard work and proper coaching or guidance, and even then, a bit of luck is needed,
Th game for the men tonight will be hard fought and the edge is given to Houston who have been at the top of the men's action all year.
For now, however we will enjoy the success of our women's team
