Still Spring Cleaning? More Areas to Consider!
In a recent post, I mentioned some areas that can be neglected when we tackle Spring cleaning tasks.
You’re not done yet. Here are more often forgotten areas that need cleaning…
We use these almost every day. But how often do you remove the turntable and clean it? You can microwave a bowl of water and vinegar (1 cup water to 1-2 Tablespoons of vinegar) to deodorize it then wipe down the walls with the solution.
-Cabinets
This is an ideal time to remove everything, wipe the shelves, and reorganize what you have. You can use Murphy’s Oil Soap on cabinets but check with your manufacturer first.
-Drawers
Remove everything and wipe out your drawers and trays.
Do the same with all of your drawers.
-Knife block-Clean your knife block (if you have one) and your utensil holder. You can wash it with warm soapy water. To give it an even deeper clean, make a mild solution of bleach and water, take a pipe cleaner and clean the slots. Rinse and let it dry thoroughly.
