Many of us dream romantically about space travel. Many thanks to Gene Roddenberry and other sci fi writers. However there is a great barrier, TIME! Light travels at  186,282 miles per second. If we could travel at the speed of light (we are nowhere near it) there would be 3 stars we could get to in 5 years. Oh BOY! 5 years in the total darkness of space and for what?

If alien space people could travel to see us we would have to ask WHY? If they are advanced far enough to get here would they want to drop in on the 8,213,269,530 stooges (latest census as of 03/28/2025)?

I'm inclined to think the guinea pigs got it right, the sighting was a mistake of identity.

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? I do remember an episode of Star Trek with the bending of time Doug Dawes . I enjoyed my many voyages in space with the entire series and it's spin offs.

That would be great Kat Palmiotti and there may be other benefits such as they could possible filter out impurities with-in the body with that technology.
