The Texas Bluebonnets were late this year in Flower Mound, but WOW my eyes had a lot to feast on today! Since moving to Texas in 1997, these are the most beautiful Bluebonnets I've seen yet! Green Acres was filled in abundance with acres of Bluebonnets. I never saw anything like this before. Now, I understand what it means when someone says, better late than never!

All of the Bluebonnets were taken on April 12, 2025, at Green Acres Farm in Flower Mound. Some were blue and others were more purple. And of course, the sunlight has a lot to do with how colors are seen too. I spent most of day there and couldn't pull myself away to leave.

I called this one my Candle in the Wind because it was windy

As the sun was getting ready to set the sun kept
getting brighter and brighter

Today has been an immersion into the wonders of nature. It was also a good day to read a lot under the canopy of trees this afternoon with the warm wind blowing through the trees. I am so thankful my daughter sent me a fabulous book for my birthday called Raising Hare by Chloe Dalton. It's not heavy, it is light reading, a good book to connect with nature. And yes! I did see rabbits in Green Acres today! It is evening now while I am posting. They say the Full Moon, known as the Pink Moon will occur on April 13, 2025. It has been a wonderful day enjoying all this beauty. The moon outside already looks full, big, and very bright tonight. May you all reconnect with nature and enjoy Spring to its fullest! Remember! We only get one season of spring per year.
