Hot Rods and Cool Treats in Carlsbad

~ May 10, 2025 ~

The Hot Rods and Cool Treats Carnival and Classic Car Show returns to Carlsbad Village on Saturday May 10th. This fun event takes place at the Pine Avenue Community Center and Park at 3209 Harding Street from 11 am until 2 pm. (The feature photo is from another area classic car show)

Hot Rods and Cool Treats includes a number of fun activities for all, plus the classic car show. Classic cars must be 25 years or older and there will be multiple awards. The contest is limited to 30 cars. Entries are due by May 8th.

Here's a video from the Hot Rods and Cool Treats event in 2024 with some award winners.

Come check out some beautiful classic cars and vote for your favorite, plus have lots of fun. There are awards in 11 categories, including Best Interior, Best in Show, Best Paint, Kids’ Choice, Oldest Car, Best Muscle Car, and more.

Carnival games include Ring Toss, Can-Knock-Down, and Frog Hopper. You can also enjoy face painting and crafts. There will be a Fun Zone, live music, as well as food and drinks for purchase. Plus you can create your own sundae at the ice cream bar.

Don’t miss this fun event in Carlsbad Village on May 10th.

And remember Mother’s Day is Sunday the 11th!
