Tuesdays Treasures…The Gift of Family
Whether it’s having 10, 20, 30, or more for Easter, it’s not about the food but catching up with each other.
We had about 35 over for Easter. Some were out of town, but we’re grateful for the cousins, brothers, sisters, in-laws, and everyone else who shared Easter festivities with us.
As usual, we had more than enough food and far too many desserts!!! The projected rain held off, so we were able to have the Easter egg hunt (140 eggs) followed by the cracking of the cascarones.
I loved our many years in FL with neighbors/friends who became our extended family. They helped me “root where I was planted.” However, I love the connections I have with my family here.
If you are lucky and have family near you, treasure every moment you have with them.
If your family is scattered around the country, build your own extended family. Connections are important for all of us.
Connections/family/friends give us that lifeline to hold onto when we’re approaching the edge.
They remind us that we are a part of something greater that will be there for us.
Individually, we are vastly unique, but when put together, we are a total masterpiece.
