I've been known to put in some long hours over the years, keeping up with the essentials for each of the hats I wear.
But even then, I had my limits. Sooner or later I had to shut down for the night and whatever didn't get done today would be on tomorrow's to do list.
This morning in my Inbox was an email stamped 3:07 a.m. from a newly elected HOA board member seeking information about another area community.
She'd found our blog post or our IDX page about the community at 3 in the morning.
While I was asleep.
But our web presence was NOT asleep.
Our web presence NEVER sleeps. It may blink every now and then for a server reboot or some tech issue, but our pages and sites keep working 24/7/365, year after year after year.
My job is to populate our blog and our IDX site with evergreen content that answers consumer needs.
Does every consumer need lead to business? Of course not.
I've answered many, many inquires about contact information for HOA management companies.
But every one of those inquiries confirms our content is out there working for us and being found, even at 3:07 a.m.
There's nothing truly unique about our methods.
Identify communities we'd want to work.
Gather information.
Create IDX pages with ample detail.
Publish.
Let Google do its thing.
Update the content when major changes happen (e.g. new construction completes).
Respond when contacted.
Repeat the cycle.
I still have pages to create, and steadily I'm scratching subdivisions off the list.
There's a cumulative effect. More blog posts and IDX pages, more chances to be found, more chances for the search indexes to decide we know what we're talking about and give us Page 1 results...Page 1 results that are there at 3:07 a.m. or 3:07 p.m.
You do the work, and the work will do the work of attracting attention.
Until next Tuesday, just Ask An Ambassador if you need help,
