On April 24, 2025, National Association of Realtors® (NAR) reported that nationwide median home value price was $403,700 in March of 2025 up 2.7% from the price of $392,900 in March of 2024.
Single family home sales were at annual rate of 3.64 million units in March of 2025 declined 6.4% from home sales in February of 2025, and lower 2.2% from home sales in March of 2024. The median single family home price was $408,000 in March of 2025, increased 4.7% from March of 2024.
Condominium and co-op sales same as 0.0% to an annual rate of 300,000 units in March of 2025 from February of 2025, but dropped 5.0% from March of 2024. Median existing condo price was $363,000 in March of 2025, increased 1.5% from price of $337,900 in March of 2024.
Distressed homes sales were 3.0% in March of 2025 same as from 3.0% in February of 2025, but higher from 2.0% in March of 2024.
Lawrence Yun, NAR chief economist, stated "Residential housing mobility, currently at historical lows, signals the troublesome possibility of less economic mobility for society."
