SPEND YOUTH WISELY (20-30 life guide)

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with people first...then business Ran Right Realty 636943 licensed to thrill

The title makes the point & we will explore the obvious point further. You see, the plain fact is YOU (youth) knew nothing before you came. Think of an empty vessel for a lower-level example. The container awaits whatever usage you assign to it.  Now, apply it to mankind & behold the mysteries, without end, boundless, awaiting to enter into & for you. Until you can take the helm, your first authority figures have at it & get their way with you. At some point, you start adding & subtracting to make yourself more to your liking. Now, we are off & running into the known & the unknown. What a great journey!

SOME JOURNEY CAVEATS BEFORE WE BEGIN

1. Beware of distractions, things that interfere with focus & appreciation

2. The Universal Law: Whatever you get into, gets into you. Choose wisely

3. Comfort Zones are no respecters of persons. They sedate everyone to no action

4. Addictions lurk here & there. Your defense? Moderation in all things

5. You are not the first or last to venture forth, but instead, the only YOU to do so

SOME POINTS OF INTEREST

1. All things are allowed, so get to it. Take any compass point & explore your fill

2. All things are possible. No other lifeform can say this or know this either

3. Trial & error & learning as you go will aid you, so go with confidence.

4. All things await your visit. Believe, have & seek this

5. More will be given to you if you are carefree, less, if you become too serious

THE DAY YOUR TEENS STARTED

Youth know nothing & know everything (lol) at the same time, plus they will argue that too. This is the beginning of the discovery of your own will, what you like or don't & your ignorance concerning everything which leads to less ignorance

THE DAY YOUR TEENS ENDED

Up until this point, you couldn't care less about what is to come. Instead, you are glad being told what to do is lessening (parents & homework). A mysterious void appears, beckoning YOU to fill it in, but with what? How? Where? Free ride over

DO SOMETHING

It fascinating to discover that all mankind must do something & no exceptions. We are mobile machines, with prompts, curiosity, storage space, five senses & legs. If we sit still, we punish ourselves. However, what to do, can be a type of deer-in-the-headlights puzzlement.

POSTING TIME-OUT BREAK

We started out NOT able to list anything from birth to needing to know something post-teens. Now here is what they don't explain enough about a very important subject. It involves a time of life, with no do-overs & much reward

The current image has no alternative text. The file name is: hourglass-time-hours-sand-39396.jpeg

there is no time-out, only time-in

AGE 20-30

High school allowed some fun, education & experiences but now that it is over, we can clearly see what we would have liked more & liked less. It lulls you in the moment. Your 20-30's is similar with a slight variation & tweak. We need to know

THE CHOICES ARE SIMPLE & NARROWED DOWN

EMPLOYMENT

Many of you reading this far are beyond this timeline, so be patient while those who are not, get some direction. You have to get a job, any job, as supporting yourself becomes a reality & a must especially if you want & need things in life

COLLEGE

For those who want to educate more, college until a degree is next. Most do not know what to get a degree in, but know this: It has to be able to monetize itself i.e. make you money & a living or what is the point of getting it?

MILITARY

By some quality time-out, join your choice of service, & see the world & understand it more. Be advised that when talking with a recruiter, you can negotiate as to what you want & where you want it. Then sign up. When it is over, you get perks & pluses in addition to have grown-up, matured & have confidence

WORTHY NOTE: Your 20-30 period is fleeting & must provide a foundation for the rest of your life journey. Life can become more challenging as you age.

CHANGING AS YOU GO

You must choose AND take note; you can make changes as you go for the better. You don't have to know, but you have to do, so choose one of the above. Youth should be spent wisely instead of being misspent foolishly. Now, you know

Richard, your post offers some profound food for thought on navigating the crucial 20-30 age range! You've highlighted key areas like employment, education, and military service as foundational choices. The reminder that this decade is fleeting and sets the stage for the future is so important. Your advice to choose and act, while remaining open to change, is a valuable message for those in that stage of life.

Hi Richard Alan Naggar

Age 20-30.   Yes it goes by fast.

"As the branch is bent, so grows the Tree."

Young people, the decisions you make, the jobs you take, the people you associate with, your spiritual life...  what you do in your 20's will determine the rest of your life.

When I was in my 20's I became a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.  I graduated college.  I became an accomplished ballroom dancer at an internationally-owned dance franchise.  I also got my Scuba diver certification, and a number of other credentials and licenses.  I became a successful Real Estate Broker.   And at age 29 I got married (for the first and only time; we are still married).

Young people today have the same opportunities I had, and they probably have the same challenges and obstacles.  Like so many American youth, I came from a broken home; divorced parents, rival step-brothers, all of it.  But that's no excuse.  Sign up, join up, crack the books, find that job, apply yourself!

And most important... I could not have done it alone.    Read your Bible, pray.  Jesus Christ promises that He will not forsake you nor leave you.  Even when you go astray (become the prodigal son),  God will be waiting on the porch when you come to your senses.

Go for it!   Succeed!  Achieve!   Live life!
