I do like to joke that I retired from real estate to play pickleball, but that is just a bit of the truth. I do love pickleball, as you all know, but I was really becoming uneasy with NAR and their policies. I hope you have time to watch the video that Candice A. Donofrio posted on my new favorite social media site, X. It is a daunting 2 hours long. I was only going to watch about 15 minutes of it, but I just couldn't stop watching. Free speech is one of the cornerstones of our society. We have to make sure to protect it.

Did you know that agent members of the National Association of Realtors are being accused of HATE SPEECH by people who simply hold opposing views? Then are being deprived of their livelihoods? Woke destroys everything good in life and if you do not believe me, start doing some research.
It's astonishing to know that the NAR Standard of Practice 10-5 of the Code of Ethics and Statement of Professional Standards Policy 29 has become weaponized. Careers have been/are being destroyed by people who report opinions as hate speech. One agent's been in the industry for 45 years.
State Boards, along with the National Association of REALTORS are pushing this hate agenda through frivilous complaints by other agents and the public, in an effort to shut professionals up - violating FREE SPEECH. Ministers and pastors are being attacked. This is ridiculous!
An opinion shared on a private social media account has NOTHING to do with professional pages. Despite that NAR thinks their members are Realtors 24-7-365, we are not. We have families, outside interests, religious ties and our FREE SPEECH should not be adversely impacted.
Thanks to Ray Henson for bringing this to light, despite some organizations and people trying to quash the truth or twist it to suit their agendas.
