A Flower Bouquet from Flower Mound Friends

The Town of Flower Mound is the type of place where the doorbell can ring and behind the door is a neighbor from across the street with a small bouquet of flowers. A flower bouquet is a great way for neighbors to say, I was just thinking of you. Have a nice day!

Having a good neighbor makes me feel that no matter what's going on in my life,  we are all each others' keepers. We get to share the same color sky, sunshine, and air that we breathe. The temperature between us is the same. A floral surprise never goes out of style and you don't need a reason to ring a bell and let your neighbor know, I was thinking of you. How are you today?

Garden flowers bring neighbor's together. Friends that feel like family are friends of the community. The older I get the more I believe in human  kindness. Caring for others goes a long way to experiencing inner peace. There is something nostalgic about flowers that breathes new life into my soul.

Everyday is a good day to give back to a thoughtful neighbor, your community, or to give someone a nice surprise. Whatever subtle ways we can make a change in another person's life, we can bring everyday joy to another and still feel good about ourselves.

Not everyone has RING doorbells. With or without a RING doorbell, I doubt many people answer a doorbell these days; but I was glad I did! I also doubt that many people have clocks on their wall today, but I remember the days when the pendalum swung both ways and people exchanged a wave, hello, a smile, or a nice surprise! Being nice, is a wonderful way to live! Who doesn't remember the movie, "It's a wonderful life." When the sweet little girl said, teacher says, every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings, wouldn't that be nice if only it was true. I'm Patricia, and I believe in dreaming.

Good morning, Patricia... I suppose I'm the outlier... I answer my door and I answer my phones. So if anyone decides to bring me a bouquet, I won't miss the pleasure of it! (Not that anyone ever has.)

Nina Hollander, Broker - there really is power in the flower, or the voice that answers the door or the phone. It may be a digital world, but the connections we form with humans are extra special. There is nothing else that can compare to what is truly real.

Thank you for being so genuine and kind.

Michael Jacobs - What the world needs now is more is kindness. To be stuck in a grudge and hold them in your heart serves no purpose. Being a good person, good neighbor, and good to one and all really makes life worth living.

Thanks for being a wonderful you!

What a wonderful neighbor! I am so glad you received such a beautiful bouquet. I bet it made your day!

As for answering the doorbell, no one can figure out that the big ship's bell on our front post is the doorbell. haha. We do answer to knocks!

Kat Palmiotti - The days have past, yet the little bouquet remains the same on my desk. It's as if it wants to stay to keep putting a smile on my face. I understand now more than ever, just how much those little things we do, and how we treat others, makes my life richer and more meaningful too!

I'm so glad our first meet-up was in Montana. I will never forget your smile and how you made me feel. Thank you.

Wayne Martin - I still remember a song I heard on T.V. when I was just a little girl. The words, "Have faith, hope, and charity, that's the way to live successfully," never escaped my memory. I understand now, the most valuable thing on earth are the people in our lives.

Thank you, for our Chicago connection.

George Souto - Little unexpected surprises mean so much! Receiving the little bouquet of flowers made a big difference in my day. My neighbors and I talked about how grateful we were for knowing we had each other, just across the street, and we agreed, just our presence there alone brings so much comfort and joy.

I want to thank you too, for stopping by and always having something positive to say.

Lew Corcoran - For as long as we have neighbors, we must never take advantage of one another and always be grateful. Living within a small community is a gift. Just as we go to the grocery store to get groceries, just having good people in our lives, in close distance is truly a treasure that we can never take for granted.

Little acts of kindness is the light that comes through our window at night when the day is over. Each life is a gift.

Thank you for being a good friend on ActiveRain.
