This Mother's Day brought a refreshing and much-needed change of pace, and I soaked up every second of it! Instead of the usual dinner, I spent the day surrounded by my kids and their families, enjoying the kind of relaxed, joy-filled moments that become cherished memories.
We kicked things off with a visit to Ski Shores Café, a beloved Lake Austin tradition since 1954. If you haven’t been since the owners of Clark’s Oyster Bar took over, you’re in for a treat, they’ve kept the charm but elevated the flavors. The lobster rolls? Absolutely delicious!

After a leisurely meal, we headed out for an afternoon of boating on Lake Austin. The sky was a brilliant blue, the sun was shining, and the water sparkled like diamonds. There’s just something about being out on the lake with people you love, laughter carries farther, conversations go deeper, and everything feels a little more magical.
I felt so blessed to be surrounded by some truly amazing moms, strong, loving women who inspire me every day. It was a celebration not just of motherhood, but of family, connection, and slowing down to enjoy the ride.
Here’s to embracing new traditions and making room for joy in unexpected places!
