Plugged Into Charlotte: Where To Charge Your EV With Ease

Wayne Martin hi Wayne... I drive a hybrid. I get 42 miles to the gallon and fill up with gas about once a month. Not ready to totally commit to all electric and their impact on the environment is quite dire as far as I'm concerned.

Hi Roy... I did a post on this a few years ago and it's astonishing how much charging stations have grown in the past few years.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty I took the middle road, Jeff, and bought a hybrid. It gives me 42 miles to the gallon on general and I don't fill up more than once a month if I'm not travelling.

Norma J. Elkins hi Norma... that's exactly the issue with pushing for more EVs... in so many parts of the county there's no way to charge them.

George Souto sounds logical, doesn't it, George. And yet people have gone out to buy EVs and not taken into account what it might take to keep a car charged up. And frankly, three/four years ago when gas prices were way up and there was a push towards EVs Charlotte had very few charging stations.

Jeff Dowler, CRS good morning, Jeff. My husband drives a traditional car... but he doesn't drive much. I don't think he puts even 1,000 miles on the car in one year. I drive a hybrid and am very happy with it.

Dorie Dillard Austin TX good morning, Dorie... and what people often forget is if you need to charge an EV it can take quite while to sit there while the car charges up.

Brian England hi Brian... I always thought that would be a bit of a pain. At least with a gas station you can pull in anywhere.

It's not as much of a pain as people think Nina Hollander, Broker and with more and more resources being provided, it becomes easier, haha.

Brian England still sticking with my hybrid, Brian! Great mileage and just a monthly trip to gas up.

Patricia Feager hi Patricia... I've never owned a lawnmower of any kind in my life... so I have no opinions about which ones are good or bad. :)

Nina Hollander, Broker - I cut my own grass. Last year I bought an electric lawn mower, and it made all the difference, especially because of gas prices! Plus, I hated driving a gas can in my car. I always felt vulnerable and hoped no one crashed into me with that gas. 

Patricia Feager I had no grass to cut until I moved to Charlotte. First two houses we owned had large lots and grass was cut professionally. The last 19 years I've lived in a neighborhood where yard maintenance is part of my HOA fee.
