California Wine Festival in Carlsbad
June 20th is the 1st day of summer, and Day 1 of the 2-day California Wine Festival in Carlsbad. The first TGIF Concerts in the Parks event is also on Friday June 20.
If you are a wine and food lover the California Wine Festival is a great opportunity to taste fine wines and enjoy special appetizers.
The California Wine Festival will take place Friday and Saturday, June 20 and 21, at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad.
The California Wine Festival is a series, with festivals in Dana Point (April 25 and 26, 2025), Santa Barbara (July 18 and 19, 2025), and Huntington Beach (November 7 and 8, 2025).
The California Wine Festival features reserve and rare vintages, as well as an extensive list of wines from some of California’s most popular wineries.
We enjoyed a food and wine event at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort a number of years ago and the setting is beautiful. What a fun way to start off your summer with wine, food and luxurious ambiance, with live music, great food, ocean views and coastal breezes. Hopefully our June Gloom will abate, but don’t let it dampen your enthusiasm!
On Friday evening you get to enjoy the Sunset Rare and Reserve Wine Tasting in The Gardens from 6:30 – 9 pm. On Saturday you can enjoy the Beachside Wine Festival on the Heron Lawn from 1 – 4 pm (VIPS begin at noon).
Of course if there’s wine you should also have food to accompany it. Thus you’ll find an impressive selection of food vendors and restaurants from Carlsbad and nearby represented at both wine tasting events.
You can buy tickets here for either Carlsbad event or both, including the VIP Pavilion. Tickets range from $85 to $235 plus tax; price includes wine and food. If you are interested in attending don’t delay as some tickets are expected to sell out. Tickets may be available at the door for a higher price if they are not already sold out.
The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort is off Aviara Parkway, at 7100 Aviara Resort Drive, Carlsbad 92011. You can expect it to be crowded so plan to arrive early as it may take some time to get into the resort and park (self-parking is $10, valet is $25). Be sure to have a designated driver!
