Good morning, Brian. People who keep waiting for rates to drop before buying are on a fool's errand.

Brian, If a homebuyer is lucky enough to find the one in today’s market, they really can’t afford to wait. Hesitation can mean missing out!

Good morning Brian. In 1972 my first loan carried a 6.75% interest rate and the home cost in the low 20's. Recently someone purchased it for $160,000 and the interest rate on the loan was 6.75%. In the intervening years most of the time the rates were higher and a few years artificially much lower. Are you seeing the point? Don't wait, you can control when you buy and get in the game. What you can't control is the mortgage rate. Enjoy your day.  

Brian - a point well made.  Why wait if there is an opportunity and one is qualified (assuming it isn't a cash transaction)!  Why wait, why hesitate!

Hesitating is not what buyers should be doing in today's market. Your landlord would love you to keep paying down his mortgage and increasing his equity! But buyers need to take the step of purchasing their home and build their own equity so they can increase their net worth. 

Do the best with whatever rates and stop renting! You can always refinance and lower your rate Brian England !

Brian waiting to purchase a home can be costly in several ways.  Better to buy sooner than later.
