Raise the Bar - Giving More Than You Think You Have
This inspiration came from Peter Mohylsky,'s recent post and entry into May's challenge.
There are days—let’s be honest—when this business can bring us to the very edge! Days when exhaustion meets frustration, and you feel like you’ve got nothing left to give. I know the feeling all too well. There have been times I’ve wanted to break down and cry. But instead, I lean in and push harder. Why? Because no one else is going to do it for me!
In real estate (and really, in life), we don’t always have a coach on the sidelines shouting plays or pushing us past our comfort zones. Sometimes, it’s just us—our grit, our discipline, our self-talk. And in those moments, we have to be the ones to demand more from ourselves.
So ask yourself:
- Are you truly providing the best service possible to your clients?
- Are you giving 100%, or are you holding something back—time, energy, care, attention?
- Are you extending a hand to that new agent down the hall who’s just trying to figure it all out?
- Are you lifting up your industry peers, cheering them on, sharing wisdom, giving support—even when your own plate is full?
If the answer is no, then it’s time to recommit.
Because only you can raise your own bar. And sometimes, just when you think you’ve given all you’ve got, you discover that you’ve got more—more strength, more generosity, more resilience—all tucked away inside you — more than you ever imagined.
Give it. Share it. Show up with it. You'll not only elevate your own business—you'll elevate everyone around you.
