I've always loved this song and in today's narcissistic world people (and maybe guinea pigs too) just don't accept the truth behind the statement "You can't always get what you want". Truth is truth no matter how much people deny it. Another line towards the end of the song is: "And you can't always satisfy your greed". Today was the first time I'd seen this video although I have the LP and play this song often. It was really fun to see a young Mic Jagger sing again.
In Real Estate we often deal with unrealistic expectations. This holds true of Sellers and Buyers alike. Buyers who want much more than their home is worth and the Buyers who think they are entitled to the Rolls Royce parked in the garage.
That being said, the majority of those I worked with were reasonable people. I will give a special "hats off" to the three builders I worked with. Everyone of them built high quality homes regardless of the price point of the home. They left a little wiggle room for minor adjustments but still, some Buyers were flat out crazy in their demands. My favorite example of being unreasonable was a buyer who wanted the contractor to fence in the two acre yard at no additional expense.
