A day does not pass that I am not asked which AI platform new and experienced users should employ.
Some models are better than others at different tasks.
So the first question becomes, "What am I doing with AI"? Image creation, videos, text, emails, blogs, MARKETING! Again, some are better than others at different tasks.
My suggestion is to start with what you are familiar with. Each platform has a learning curve. Wherever you start will become more useful in time. I have stated during weekly Zoom sessions on the 'Rain (or is it "IN" the 'Rain?) that prompts are the key. It is that simple.
With consistent use you will improve the prompts and hence the results. This applies to all content creation. So, establish goals and enter prompts until you receive the output that you desire. All platforms respond a bit differently to the same prompt...in fact, the same platform will respond differently at different times!
Familiarity is a key.
So is pricing. Pricing models have changed dramatically in the past year. Shop around AI requires energy and vast amounts of it so the more efficient models are typically less expensive.
Having stated everything above, it does behoove us (no one ever uses this word but I like it) to try various platforms and pricing structures and be mindful that it may be best for you to have accounts with more than one platform!!
Final thought...in shopping for the best platform...recognize that existing relationships may be beneficial. Microsoft/Co-Pilot. Google/Gemini, etc.
