An All-Natural Chill Pill

After an afternoon spent with a friend catching up, I began driving home and an idea came to mind.💡 What if someone manufactured a "chill pill" to encourage a national shift by eliminating contrived discord, soothing frazzled minds and mending divides? Of course, only an all-natural supplement would do.

The daily "dosage" amounts to spending quality time outdoors by pushing away from the computer, shutting off all electronics to walking or rolling along a trail, biking through sun-soaked streets, or just reading a paper book in the shade of an old oak tree. The directions are easy to follow and simple as 1 - 2 - 3!

The pill must be 100% free of preservatives, no GMO's, harmful dyes, sugars - especially manufactured, and calories, the packaging made from recycled materials and the best part - no negative side effects. This is rooted in the wisdom that is often overlooked: Nature has a profound healing power.

It reduces stress, elevates the spirit, boosts mood, and helps us feel connected. Time in outdoor spaces can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and contribute to heart health. The sights and sounds of nature quiet the mind. Fresh air, natural light, and physical activity can contribute to good health and happiness.

The idea behind this "chill pill" is simple yet powerful: If more of us went into the outdoors regularly, we could see a real shift in collective well-being. Picture a cohesive population where kindness replaces anger, understanding takes over judgment, and respect becomes the norm - once again.

This can help people to re-engage in a more grounded way. When is the last time you had a picnic, walked barefoot and sunk your feet into the dirt or walked across a lush, green lawn or soaked your tootsie's in the water at the shoreline? Step outside. Breathe in the fresh air. Allow the sun to shine warmly upon your face.
