This will be my sole entry for June's contest, hosted by Anna "Banana" Kruchten and Debe Maxwell, CRS
I am dedicating all four million-plus points to establishing an anonymous emergency fund that I will solely control. This fund aims to assist clients during challenging times, providing a safety net without the stigma often associated with seeking financial help.
Every day, I encounter clients facing unforeseen challenges that can derail their plans. For instance, a client intending to sell their home discovers it needs a new roof, a cost they cannot afford until the property is sold. My emergency fund could cover these roofing costs, allowing them to proceed with the sale without anyone knowing the source of the assistance.
Another example was a client who was devastated that she owed $80,000 more on her mortgage. She didn't remember that when, years ago, a loan modification was done (due to an illness), her payments were decreased, and she would have to pay that back at closing. She put her home up for sale, intending to purchase an accessible home for her mother, but without intervention, her dreams collapsed. The AR Point Fund could resolve this issue, enabling her to move forward without the embarrassment of having to reveal her financial distress.
I often see families overwhelmed by circumstances beyond their control. Take, for instance, a parent who struggles to qualify for a new home due to mounting medical bills for a sick child. Accessing an emergency fund would provide them with a much-needed lifeline during their darkest hours.
Imagine a homeowner who suffers storm damage just as they find themselves without funds due to a lapsed insurance policy. Timely assistance in such situations can be life-changing points. Through this emergency fund, I aim to provide discreet support that empowers my clients, enabling them to navigate life's complexities with added confidence and reduced stress. In this way, my 4 million points can serve as a powerful force for good, transforming lives at critical moments when they need it most.
So, please take my 400,000,000 points!
