Came through the border Thursday morning, and there had to be 100 cars in line trying to cross into Canada. I had just one car in front of me, and sailed through, no issues.
SO thankful I was in Hamilton Wednesday evening, as Detroit and South Bend IN had really rough weather including tornado warnings. It poured Wednesday in Hamilton, and most of the way into Detroit Thursday, and only once did the skies open up.
The best part of driving, is I always bring a full set of silverware with me. I like to stop at the grocery store and see what they have in the deli. Thursday night I picked up some orange chicken and a chef's salad. SO good, and not greasy fried food.
Didn't see anything along the way Thursday, except the Ambassador Bridge, rather cool. The clouds made for a pretty cool photo too, I thought. The skies opened up, was nothing, next moment had the windshield wipers on FAST. The bridge is a bit crooked, but I was driving, so taking it as fast as I could.
Now for a funny! Going down for breakfast this week an employee asked what room I was in. HAD NO IDEA! After at least 10 hotels, they all blend together! Only two more hotels, then my own bed!
The kitties still want nothing to do with the pet sitters, so hopefully they won't be too made at me for leaving.
