Change is Absolutely Ahh-mazing!
Used to be that most people in corporate job positions performed like conditioned rodents, hungry for a piece of cheese. Many succumbed to the rat race, when their true desires of stretching themselves, to forge their own paths or blaze out-of-bound trails was eventually quashed.
A lot has changed since those days, where it was common to work in a job position for 20-30 years and happily retire with a pension or die soon after. The very fabric of America's mindset has changed. People have become less inclined to become self-employed, independent contractors.

For too long, I was one of those who lived-to-work, instead of working-to-live because it's a mindset many of us share. One that I held until finally opening the eyes wide enough to what others realized. Despite being an incredibly hard worker, I constantly relied on outside influences to define self-worth.
My career stretched me, sometimes painfully. As a new construction, Marketing/Advertising executive, I was praised in good times, then blamed when the market began to change. Prior to that, at a copy/print shop, owners constantly scrutinized my work. These experiences, though challenging, became catalysts.

They showed me that external opinions mattered little, that my own dreams, efforts and growth were more important. This helped me realize I deserved more, leading me to become a real estate professional. In this role, I can judge performance, set goals, and ensure exceptional client service.
Change is inevitable. A person either realizes that or life passes them by while they idly sit on the sidelines as an onlooker or they become bitter shells of their former selves, merely existing. So glad to still have the drive to perform and stretch beyond any perimeters that others attempt to set.

Rat race? Not for this woman, ever again. Independence means I am in charge, it's incredibly empowering. You might even say it's absolutely ahh-mazing and am happy to say that good things happen when believing you are deserving of them. Wanda Can! because she does!
