Sunday Reflections by Patricia
Kind words are like honey - sweet to the soul
and healthy for the body ---Prov. 16:24
Getting up early without checking the news or reading emails, has a way of causing reflections of my soul. Although it isn't raining at this moment at 3:00 a.m., there is a 65% chance it will rain in Flower Mound, Texas today. We have had a lot of rain, flash flood warnings, lightening, and thunderstorms. There has been more wet grass than usual. This type of weather is not typical. And so, before the day really begins, now is the time to think.
Raindrops - a simple reminder that rain is symbolic for cleansing, renewal, and to wash away negativity and to bring forth positive energy. There is something inside the raindrops that reminds me of tears falling from Heaven. Insights are wonderful attributes that give eyes and ears permission to accept the things we cannot change and to change the things we can ---Serenity Prayer.
Knowing what's going on in this world keeps me abreast of current events. However, lately the news of the day has a way of stealing my joy. I need a broader focus on what is good. My window is open. I can hear the sounds of nature coming from the backdrop of the trees. The air is a cool 75 degrees. I am comfortable.
Hot Tea and Honey
"Kind words are like honey." Honey comes from bees. Words don't have to be poetic; nor do they need to be a quote from an inspirational source. The things people say or do, does not need to sting to get my attention. Today's Journalist doesn't need to be annoying. Sometimes, it helps to listen to complimentary serenading coming from the morning trees. This sound creates a ripple effect in my soul. It's as if a butterfly flutters and my soul comes alive.
Personal reflections of mine are for reading only, not plagiarizing or ai. Positive comments would be appreciated.
