Good morning, Kathy... you already know how much I love my fur babies. You used some of my all-time favorite quotes and I loved all your photos. I don't follow Teddy, but I do see him from time to time. There's a cat I follow.

We have no pets at our home but most of our neighbors have pets.

We've got our zoo :)  Today we get to take Tiffy to the vet to get her staples removed (surgery on July 4th for some bed stuffing that has been in her stomach for years...puppies!).   This morning a butterfly landed on Gia's nose while they were on morning potty break..she started chasing it!  We just never know what will be next :)

Hello Kathy - each of the quotes you share is good reminder of the loyalty of pets.  One of my longtime favorites are these words of wisdom from Harry S Truman:  If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.  Additionally, he is attributed with sharing, Children and dogs are as necessary to the welfare of our country as Wall Street and the railroads. 

Dogs are the most expressive animals. They never fail to amaze me. lol

As you know, I don't have any pets but if I ever quite traveling before I'm admitted (or committed) to a nursing home, I will seriously consider getting one.  

The quote by Immanuel Kant caught my eye.  I've always said you can tell a lot about a man by how he treats his animals and his mother. Max didn't have any pets (allergies) but he passed the mother test with flying colors. 😊

Kathy, your post "This Week…Pets Lift Our Spirits" is a wonderful reminder of the unconditional love and comfort our animal companions provide. The quotes you shared beautifully capture the essence of the human-animal bond. It's truly amazing how instinctively pets know how to soothe us, whether it's after a tough day or during times of loss.

So many precious fur babies! My son and family just got an adorable white lab puppy who is growing like crazy....her name is June Carter ♥

Kathy, you have seen quite a few of my posts with my two fur babies.  Love them so much, and entertain me every day!

We both love pets Kathy.   And we miss our fur babies that are no longer with us but still in our hearts - Tashy, Wookie, Kitty and of course Barney whom you all knew and loved.  Norman fills our hearts these days and he's a busy boy!  And loved his treats!

I have heard from a lot of different people that pets really lift their spirits, but I am still not ready to get a pet for myself, haha.  I hope that I never get low enough that I feel I need one, haha.

Although I am not a pet person, I enjoyed the quotes and the photos, and all the photos others are sharing.

Kathy - I enjoyed your post.  All the quotes were great. This is Lola.  She came to Florida from Texas during that ice cold storm event 2 or 3 years ago. I believe temperatures dropped into the teens.  During that storm, Lola was found.  She had been abused.  I have always had dogs at least 25-35 lbs.  Lola is only 9 lbs.  No one would rescue her at a adopt a pet weekend in WPB four years ago.  When I saw her, she was shaking and scared. I held her, she looked at me as if she was saying, "please give me a home."  My heart hurt just watching her.  I adopted her. When we got home, she was not easy to warm up to.  It took about 2.5 years for her to finally stop hiding under the bed or hiding in corners.  Now, she plays, runs, and is glued to my hip. She has come a long way!  Lot of patience, training, and LOVE.

Kathy I do not have any pets, but my oldest son, daughter in law and my only grandchild are.  They have always had pets, and they all have been rescue pets.  They are a big part of their lives.

Kathy Streib, We have 3 cats, but we've been fostering another.  My friend can no longer care for him---- and I really need to find him a home.  I don't want to take him to a shelter, and keep hoping I will find someone to give him his forever home.  I would keep him, but 4 cats is tooooo many!  And he doesn't get along with our Amigo. 

His name is Seve (Ballesteros)  5 year old tuxedo with big personality, friendly, and outgoing.  Loves people and would get along with dogs. I have him up on AdoptAPet website, and have had 500+ views, and only  one application that didn't work out.  Maybe I should do a post about him on AR??  

He is a sweet snuggle-buddy   !    Here are my other 3-- Maverick, Tonto, and Amigo!
