The Paris Baguette Bakery Cafe opened up in Flower Mound, Texas this past weekend and it is already a welcomed addition to our community. Here is the link for the menu: Paris Baguette Menu.

The restaurant owners are our new neighbors. Bakers get up very early to be ready to serve customers as early as 6:00 a.m. and closes at 9:00 p.m. A nice hot cup of Pistachio Latte warmed the chill in the air. The Chocoholic Chiffon Cake in the FEATURE photo was simply divine!

The customer standing in line in front of me was very pleased. We struck up a conversation while waiting. She recently relocated from California to TX because of the problems in that state and did not want her children to be raised in that environment anymore. To quote: "Now that Paris Baguette has also moved to Flower Mound, it will be easier to convince my relatives and friends to pack up and move to Flower Mound ASAP." Paris Baguette was her favorite bakery in California.
Today I learned restaurants and a Bakery Cafe can make a positive impact on why and where people move to when they relocate. After the lady I spoke with left, I began thinking about my own fond memories when I traveled a long time ago to Palo Alto in CA. I accompanied my husband on his business trip to Palo Alto and we visited other great cities and places such as San Francisco, Fisherman's Wharf, and San Mateo. Of course, I couldn't stop thinking about Lottie Kendall, a dear friend and member of ActiveRain. Life may change, but sweet memories are forever.
