🏠Property Owners in Great Pond Invited to Sewer Meeting
Do you live in the Great Pond Phase 1 area in Falmouth, MA? If so, the town has an important meeting for you!
The Town of Falmouth is planning to build new sewer lines in the Great Pond Phase 1 area. This is part of a bigger plan to protect our water and environment. The work is expected to start by the end of this year (2025) and will take until the end of 2027 to finish.
If you own property in this area, you will be required to connect to the new sewer system once the project is complete. That means you’ll no longer be using a septic system. Connecting to the town sewer system will help keep local waters clean, including Great Pond and nearby beaches.
To help explain everything, the town is holding an information meeting on:
🗓️ Thursday, July 31
🕡 6:30 PM
📍 Lawrence School Auditorium
This meeting is just for property owners in the sewer area. At the meeting, you’ll learn:
What parts of Great Pond Phase 1 will get new sewers
When construction will happen near your home
How the sewer connection process works
What it might cost
What financial help might be available
Town officials will give a presentation to walk through the project and timeline. Then, there will be a chance to ask questions during a Q&A session.
This is the first of several meetings the town will hold. If you can’t make this one, don’t worry—there will be more chances to get the information you need.
Why It Matters
This project will help improve water quality, protect our local environment, and keep our neighborhoods healthy. Knowing what to expect—and what’s expected from you—is important.
If you’re a property owner in Great Pond Phase 1, please come to the meeting. It’s your chance to ask questions, get answers, and plan ahead.
