Looks bad, doesn't it?

307 Center Searcy AR

I was driving by this old house and noticed the condition of it.  Built in 1901, so says the Course House info about it. That means it is about 124 years old!  What is going on?  Is it another one getting prepared to "bite the dust"?  So I hurry home and start my research about it.  It sold a few months ago.  It had been sitting there empty for years and going down.

I found that it was to be renovated!!!!  Hooray to hear that!

So let's continue to drive by and watch its progress and hope for great results!  I hope they don't change the original looks of it very much!

Barbara S. Duncan it is good that there are those who have the skills needed to tackle a project like this and willing save what could be a very special home.

I just hope they keep the old look.  Too many change the old character of the home.

Barbara, the  only thing I know about this house is that it's catercornered to the Deener house at 310 Center. I am quite familiar with Judy Deener's old house.

Checking Anita's 1957 Searcy Telephone directory I find that a Max Ezeli lived there then.

Deeners lived at 310 and 306.

I have to say the Deener house is more interesting.

Go here to read about it.
