What began as a quiet question has grown louder with time and increased exposure: Will agentic AI in real estate and other professional capacities—with its ability to act autonomously and make intelligent decisions—replace the role of management and compliance personnel? Could the roles become obsolete?
The emergence of sophisticated artificial intelligence tools capable of tasks like automated contract review, intelligent market research, and even initial document drafting, has sparked both excitement and apprehension among real estate professionals.
Will agentic AI replace key people? As with many things, the answer is yes and no. For those who adopt it and utilize it properly, their jobs/roles are secure. Those that are fearful and avoid it, risk falling behind others in regard to technology and marketing / management skills. Promotions can be at risk. Additional sales may not be realized and this falling behind in this vital role.
We should all realize three things:
1. AI is not going away;
2. AI can be useful or harmful depending upon who is utilizing and for what purpose;
3. Leaders recognize and seize opportuity..AI is on the cusp of being the greatest business tools in our lifetimes.
