Remember how you felt when an old friend reached out to you just to say hello and catch up? With life being crazy busy, sometimes we are so focused on doing what we believe are priorities.
How many times have we commented on an Active Rain post and yet maybe never made that personal call to learn more about that professional real estate agent or service provider? Again, we think we are too busy.
As September signals a change of the seasons, consider this is the time to reach out and connect with another Active Rain member, preferably someone you have not personally spoken to recently or ever heard that person’s voice. Active Rain has a plethora of potential connections and maybe even relationships that may change your life in the most unexpected ways.
Personally, I have been able to physically meet and connect several Active Rain Members from the Phoenix area (thanks to Brian England) and one from Bullhead City {Candice A. Donofrio).
Then there is the ever social Carol Williams who made the effort to reach out to me years ago. Last year as Carol was heading south to Yuma for her winter retreat, we enjoyed dinner at the Red Bistro. Carol met another local professional real estate agent and we all had a great time. Finally with these incredible Active Rain Connections, I have had one confirmed referral from another Active Rain Member that did result in a successful transaction.
If you decide to accept this challenge, here are the criteria:
- 300 word minimum posting worth 1,000 points
- Identify the person you physically called or met
- One feature photo
- One second photo that can be shared by the other person or a photo of something the two of you have in common.
- Post your link on this page
- Second connection worth 500 points with the above same criteria
- This challenge ends September 30, 2025 at 11:59pm PDT.
As to what to write, the possibilities are endless. Maybe discuss:
- What brought the other person into real estate industry?
- Her or his hobbies?
- Sharing a funny story or experience?
- Future plans such as business expansion to retirement?
- Status of local real estate industry?
- ??????
