Leaving Switzerland, into Lichtenstein, Austria & Germany

It has been a long day leaving at 8 this  morning, and 9.32 in my room now.

We left Lucerne Switzerland this morning in rain and lots of clouds.   But most every day it has been foggy/cloudy/rainy every morning, but noon the rain stops and the afternoon the sun comes out.   So nice.

We went into Vaduz Lichtenstein after a couple of hours, got our passports stamped, did a bit of walking around and got back on the bus.  Into a bit of Austria, then into Bavaria Germany where we to Neuschwanstein Castle, SO cool.  We learned a bit about King Ludvig and his demise, and his obsession with castles.   The walk up the hill was nice, and such beautiful views!   We did not go into the castle, as it was a tight day already.  Coming down fro the castle, most of us stopped to get a bratwurst.  OH MY was that good, so much better than here, with wonderful flavor.

Into Munich for a group dinner which was really fun, and back to our hotel.

Tomorrow will be a bit less busy, with the afternoon and evening free for whatever we want to do, which will be nice.  A few have mentioned a great museum, which could be nice.

Kathy, it has been a lot of running, or jumping into the bus.

Hello Joan - I have previously referenced the movie, It's Tuesday, It Must Be Belgium even though I don't recall ever knowing much about it beyond its title and general theme.  May your adventure continue to offer many new experiences and enough moments to enjoy as well as reflect on each of them.

I was way disappointed!   It was a 12-hour day though, not sure how much more we could have done.

I really love castles (maybe in a previous life I live in one). I am in awe of what must have went into building one back in the day.
