Auburn Homecoming Parade 2025 Recap: Octavia Spencer Leads the Tradition
The Auburn Homecoming Parade 2025 took over downtown Auburn on Friday, September 12, filling the streets with floats, bands, and Tiger spirit. This year’s parade was bigger than ever, and the excitement grew as Academy Award-winning Auburn alumna Octavia Spencer returned home to serve as grand marshal.
Friday Night Highlights
The Auburn Family showed up in full force as the parade rolled down College Street, showcasing Auburn University students, alumni, and community groups. Seeing Octavia Spencer lead the way made this year’s Homecoming parade one for the history books.
Afterward, fans gathered on Samford Lawn for the annual pep rally—an Auburn tradition that sets the tone for the entire weekend. With Nashville Nation performing live, the celebration carried into the night.
What’s Next This Weekend
Homecoming isn’t finished yet. On Saturday, September 13, the Auburn Tigers face South Alabama at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Kickoff is set for 11:45 a.m., and Miss Homecoming will be announced at halftime.
Why Homecoming Captures Auburn’s Lifestyle
The Auburn Homecoming Parade is more than just a pregame event—it’s a reminder of the traditions, community, and spirit that make people proud to call Auburn home. Whether you’re cheering downtown, singing the fight song on Samford Lawn, or tailgating with friends, this weekend shows exactly why so many families choose to move to Auburn or relocate to Opelika.
