I have written extensively about utilizing AI and the best uses for it. These included certain management functions, and learning.
So, I thought it time to prepare an overview and integration guide.
The emergence of AI has redefined the boundaries of what software can do in the real estate (and other complex business environments). In real estate, the use of AI can include offer analysis, contract review, client privacy, and compliance (internal corporate as well as external/state and insurance).
This all sounds great but the inherent challenge that faces real estate firms is that "AI" is not designed in environments of risk, compliance and regulation. There are not many guardrails for all of this (although the EU has adopted comprehensive regulations and the US may soon follow).
Large Language Models (LLMs) are powerful tools as they relate to general purpose applications. However, they become problematic or challenging where there exists structural issues such as explainability, compliance and security - such as real estate that is governed by varying state and federal regulations. The LLMs were not built and designed for such environments.
Along comes agentic AI. Agentic AI is different than generative AI. Generative AI responds to prompts, whereas agentic AI operates in a more autonomous manner. Agentic AI can respond to goals, breaking down complex tasks, and interacting with both humans and systems. It can also validate its own content creation.
Accordingly, Agentic AI may be uniquely positioned to better accommodate the real estate environment.
