Not my fur baby!

Waking up on Saturday morning, coffee is on, and classical music is on the background. I started to open the curtains and blinds and looking forward to seeing some deer in the distance. To my surprise a huge black cat is staring at me, well he wasn’t that big, but his stare was not of comfort to me.  Rapid thoughts are going through my mind. Will he go away? Who does he belong to? How dare he come into my space, lol. As I opened the other curtain, he is still watching me. I slowly move to my office, hoping to grab my camera and snap a quick photo. With great relief, he is not there, I quickly look at the back of my house, and I cannot see him. Should I let my German Shepard out? I hesitate because I don’t want to harm him, but please go back home and don’t come back. If you have cats and love cats, good for you, so please don’t take offense. It is not my fur baby, and I don’t need one. Enjoy your Sunday!

Katina, I love cats, but that would freak me out a bit.   This cat does look pretty big.

Katina Hargrove 352-551-0308 hi Katina... I fed a feral cat for years each morning on my front porch until we adopted our dog seven years ago. Cat moved over to my neighbor's porch. Fortunately she and I both love cats and own cats, so there was cat food to feed this kitty. A visit from a strange cat would never bother me... but from a dog, yes.

I don't like stray cats hoovering the bird feeders.  We have an orange one that I have shooed away several times. I am sure it is a gauker when I am not at home.

Hello Katina, we have lots of name cats that come in our backyard in hopes of catching a bird on the ground at the birdfeeders.  Not thrill with that.

Hi Katina- our short cul-de-sac street has a feral cat. My neighbor a few doors down feeds it and keeps a small bed for it at her front door. So far, he hasn't chased our birds or squirrels.

Hello Katina - many cats are quite curious.  Your photo captures that with a somewhat mysterious look from the subject of your post.

Haha, I would feel the same way if a cat was in my backyard, which they are from time to time.  Once there was a time that a cat had a litter on my back patio, unknown to me until I hear them crying, haha.  Luckily, my neighbor knew what to do with them and handled it for me.

Brian England when they start crying like a baby and won't stop, it is very hard to ignore. I am glad your neighbor handled it for you, haha
