Loose Ends In Picture

First of all I am keeping my promise to show you more of Citizens Alley. Timmothy and I made a special trip over there and I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of work put into the project. Citizens alley is connected to several businesses and on it's own it has a free movie area, splash pad, food vendors and more.

Now on to a new subject. I got woke up last night (aprox 11:30 PM) by a loud crash. A police officer in hot pursuit lost control of his squad car and hit a street signal with unbelievable force. Check out these pictures (I did not see the patrol car.

One last topic.

Is this art?

Corbett Field, a historic baseball park, contracted an artist to "beautify" the 12' fence surrounding the park.

Isn't that MINOT made out of giant Popsicle sticks special (like a first grader couldn't have done that)?

WOW, outhouse doors! Isn't that special?

I'm surprised they could do this to a historic property. There are probably 50 walls like this surrounding the ball park... maybe they are hoping the artist will achieve  a 3rd graders level of art skill by the time they get around the park.

What doesn't surprise me is that my tax dollars are paying for this trash.

Do you enjoy the cartoons written by my son (Timmothy N. Timm) which I use as a springboard to write my daily posts? His strip, Titus & Philemon, has run in two newspapers for years as well as being printed in my blog every day. Titus & Philemon (pronounced Phi - Lee -Man) are guinea pigs. Their owner is Joe. Timmothy has never repeated a joke/comic strip in the 12 years he has been writing it. He has never copied another strip, such as Peanuts or Garfield. You can follow Timmothy on FB as Titus & Philemon and you can also check him out on Instagram as Instagram.com/titus and philemon/ .For Timmothy's website type timmtimmothy.com into your browser. I tried to put it in a link here but it refuses to work. Do NOT put anything in front of timmtimmothy.com or it will not work.

Sam Shueh I'm hoping the project gets scrapped and they return some dignity to those historic walls. 😉

Hello Bob - art and countless other things in life are subjective.

Good morning, Bob... I have a feeling that Citizen's Alley will become a popular hangout in Minot. That was some crash... hopefully nothing but the signal box was hurt. As for art... I guess we could say it's in the eye of the beholder.

Thankfully no one was hurt Nina Hollander, Broker . After actually visiting Citizens Alley I have a greater appreciation for it... the art, not so much.

Citizen's Alley looks like it will be a great place to spend time - as for the art, it doesn't speak to me!

Expert guidance. Exceptional results.

Hi Bob "RealMan" Timm. Thanks so much for sharing your insights and the vivid details in your post. I really appreciate how you bring attention to both the positive efforts like Citizens Alley and the more frustrating aspects like the park art and local issues. Your honest perspective adds a real human touch that makes the story all the more compelling.
