This is a safer and more comfortable way to show your home. Selling a home is exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming—especially if you live alone. One of the biggest frustrations I hear from sellers is the
waiting game: an agent makes an appointment, the seller prepares
the house,
and then... nothing. They show up late, much later, or
sometimes not at all. Meanwhile, the owner is stuck at home,
unable to make plans and wondering what’s happening.
I knew I needed to find a better solution for sellers who also needed peace
of mind and security during showings.
Here’s the system I've put in place—and it works
beautifully.
The appointment is confirmed with instructions to call me for access.
When the showing agent arrives at the property, I am notified and
immediately call my seller. She knows right away that the agent is at her front door and is ready to come in.
With permission, I stay on the phone during the showing. This allows me to guide the agent through the property virtually and gives my seller
reassurance. This will not work for every situation, but for sellers who
feel uneasy about strangers entering the home, it is a wonderful solution. Most agents have been very accepting of the process, and more importantly, my seller feels safe, secure, and respected.
At the end of the day, selling a home should never mean
giving up comfort. My job is not only to market and sell your
property but also, to make sure you feel taken care of every step of
the way.
