Ok.  I admit it.

I have a white vehicle.

My husband had a white truck.

Most of my friends and his friends have white vehicles.  Seeing a bright yellow or baby blue or red vehicle will make you blink several times from surprise.

So, what happened to cars like these in this old picture above of our beloved North Spring St. in Searcy AR?  And what happened to parking meters?  Did double-color cars cost more?  And notice the lack of pickup trucks above?  The vehicles above are attractive, aren't they?  I'd kinda like seeing them again.

Now, here's the way parking lots look today!

Good morning Barbara. Things do change with time. The meters replaced by digital on your phone. Two tone cars with changing body styles yearly have given way to pickup trucks and SUV's. I miss the old days when the new models were introduced and had a new look every year. Enjoy your day.

Wayne, I remember those days because my husband was a car dealer and it was a sorta big day to show them off.  Thanks for commenting.

Hello Barbara - I don't remember those days, but my mom has told me that I could readily identify cars when first learning to talk.  Well, those times are gone for me as so many automobiles aren't that distinctive anymore.

And what really bugs me is that they don't have the name on cars.  They expect us to remember by their symbol.  I have a Ford and says the name and I like that.
