Your College Financial Roadmap: Don’t Fear the FAFSA

Reminder! October 6

Will you need a loan or grant to pay for college? Then you’ll need to get comfortable with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Join the TRIO Educational Opportunity Center and the Gaithersburg Financial Empowerment Center on October 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Gaithersburg Public Library to learn who is eligible to apply, how to complete an application, and how schools use your information. Stay after the workshop to schedule an appointment with TRIO for one-on-one FAFSA assistance. Refreshments will be provided.

People need sources such as those you post, in order to be better informed, and even realize items that can benefit them that they have no clue about.  Not due to their lacking but to so much getting lost in the tsunami of information coming at us anymore.  m

Roy, You always share such valuable information. Events like this really do help people recognize what’s out there and how it can make a difference.

A good education is certainly very expensive these days, and I find that very sad because every kid should have the opportunity to further their education.
