A challenge has been posted and accepted: ActiveRain Tuesday Zoom Challenge!
By Debe Maxwell, CRSÂ
In regards to last Tuesdays Zoom call, featuring me 😉, I have to say that I learned as much as anyone on the call thanks to some excellent questions. I also realized I forgot to mention a very important software that is/was very critical to making my past podcasting come across as smooth.
That software is made by Leapic and is called Audio Editor 4.0. I originally downloaded it via MajorGeeks.com and at this time I could not find a direct link. You can find it on several "free" software sites, just be careful you don't download any crap with it. Another good "free" program is CapCut. Regretfully I do not remember any tutorials for either of them and just looking at the operating screen is a bit daunting.

If you look at the screen menu on top there is a Help button. I also found it very helpful to just hover over each icon to see what they do. In short you can increase the volume to one or more microphones so they are of equal volume. You can cut sections out or add sections in. You can mute things like a cough or edit music into the background and so much more.
Debe Maxwell, CRS had asked what our NEW podcast would be about. My original podcast was also a broadcast radio program I called Minot Real Estate Today and then when I retired from Real Estate I renamed it Minot Today. It fit very well on Active Rain as a Localism post.
My NEW podcast would also be a good fit for Localism and if possible I would try to couple with a new Christian radio station. The station I was with for years recently changed hands and is no longer a format I care to broadcast with. I would like to team up with The Flock.

The Flock is also a Christian radio station like the one I was with before. BONUS! I attend the church that owns this station (Calvary Chapel, Minot ND) and Pastor Bill is my pastor. Upon approval by Pastor Bill and the church leadership team I would title my new podcast "Living the Faith in Minot" or something along those lines.
The Flock is a teaching ministry and although we may not fully agree with all the denominations out there we respect them so you will hear preachers of many faiths on the station thus it would only be fitting that I interview those pastors who are broadcast on the radio station.
I would also like to interview people who have amazing stories about their faith and share their testimonies. I could even interview many Active Rain individuals like Dr. Paula McDonald and John Juarez whom I know are proud of their faith and boldly proclaim it here.
The more I think about it the possibilities are endless and I know many have stories that will wow even those who do not proclaim themselves as Christians. That's it for me for now. If/when I get this together I hope you will listen in.
In the meantime I want to plug the weekly Zoom meeting and hope it sparks some great ideas for you as well.
