ou could say I started working at a early age thanks to my parents. They lease a restaurant when I was 5 years old and put me to work at a young age but it taught me how to cook, let along with people and even how do do payroll at a early age.
By the time I was off to college, I made up my mind, not going in the restaurant field but getting my Bachelors Degree in accounting. Was good at it and got a job sitting behind a desk for 3 months, decided that this was not for me. I talk to a wise man my Grandfather and he said I should think about the restaurant business. I did and when to work as a assisted manager for a restaurant company. After 3 weeks of training, I was assign to a location and we just got a new supervisor three days later. He came in with new rules and my manager did not like it and got drunk and called the new boss. What happen next he got fired and I made unit Manager! After 3 years I was a Training Manager and moved up to Supervisor and then Regional Manager covering Colorado and Utah area. From there I made V. P. of Operation by 1984.
After years in the job, we lost our Real Estate guy who handle all the leases for the company. The President ask me if I could handle that for 3 leases till they hire someone. I did both job for 6 months.
When I got out of the restaurant business. I moved back to Denver and got bore and got in the Real Estate business. The rest is history! But I still love to cook!
