Buyers when shopping for a home are willing to overlook certain things in a home like paint, sometimes flooring but they become concerned when looking at out of date kitchens and bathrooms. Everything you read about remodeling the kitchen and bathroom are number one for return on investment when it comes time to sell. But many of us consider our current home our last home (frog house) so why not do it now! It is obvious many Villagers over improve their homes, but why not? You want to enjoy your home while you can, you want something and can afford to do it, go for it!
You have options when it comes to getting the kitchen or bathroom you want, you can go turnkey and hire a company to do it OR take the lead yourself, shop, get quotes and referrals. Few of my clients have gone to Floor & Décor and found clearance sale of tile, bought it then hire an installer. Have good sturdy kitchen cabinets which most cabinets in The Villages have, paint them. New countertops, no problem, hire somebody to remove old countertops then go to the granite quartz yard and talk to them. Do things yourself by shopping and hiring people and maybe save 30% of the cost of remodeling. You can do it, need help let me know!
